Environmental Education Centres

The NSW Department of Education operates 24 NSW Environmental and Zoo Education Centres (EZECs). The centres are the leading provider of quality teacher led incursions and excursions in NSW supporting thousands of students per year.

Through hands-on programs, workshops, and activities, the centres support schools and educators in delivering curriculum-aligned environmental education, encouraging critical thinking and action towards positive environmental change. By inspiring positive environmental behaviours, the centres contribute to building a more sustainable future for NSW.

The centres are all staffed by NSW Department of Education teachers who are experts in pedagogy and curriculum based outdoor learning.
