Whilst adventuring around the rockpools, Black Beach and harbour on the way to the blowhole, students investigate the needs of living things through sensory, hands-on, and creative activities.
Bush Picnic

Students explore the bush environment with their ‘Bush Buddy’, investigating how animals move, what they need to survive, and how they interact with their surroundings. Through sensory activities, movement challenges and group design tasks, students develop their scientific skills and curiosity with observation, questioning and creative play.

An exciting visit to Kiama’s Black Beach where students explore living things using their senses. Through hands-on activities like rock pool discovery, a sensory treasure hunt and a fun 'dress the teacher as a plant' challenge, students learn how plants and animals survive and what makes something living.
