Blackbutt Reserve is the largest natural bushland reserve in the Illawarra and is the last remaining coastal plain forest in area.
Its location in the heart of a suburban area provides critical habitat for many native plants and animals. Cockatoos and parrots rely on the hollows created by the old growth forest and it is home to colony of endangered Grey Headed Flying Foxes.
Bus access is via Blackbutt Way, Barrack Heights.
Car parking is available.
